"Hanoi Dep Sound" unveils night tours to diversify tourism appeal

The “Hanoi Dep Sound” (Hanoi Beautiful Sound or Hanoi So Beautiful) campaign opens the door to fresh night-time tourism experiences, offering visitors a deeper and more enchanting way to explore the capital.

THE HANOI TIMES — “Hanoi Dep Sound”, launched on December 19, has unveiled a series of night tours aimed at diversifying the capital’s tourism offerings by highlighting Hanoi’s cultural and historical heritage after dark.

Introduced at Hanoi Book Street in Cua Nam Ward, the program uses modern technology to create immersive nighttime experiences for visitors, adding to a series of tourism stimulation activities implemented by Hanoi authorities.

Speaking at the event, Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said Hanoi is a city with a thousand-year history and many advantages to develop diverse offerings, including cultural and historical tourism, culinary and MICE tourism, night tourism, and those associated with traditional craft villages.

Currently, Hanoi has 20 night-tourism products and nine pedestrian streets and food streets.

“The series of activities promoting Hanoi's night tourism products in 2025, themed ‘Hanoi Dep Sound,’ aims to honor and preserve the distinctive cultural and historical values of Hanoi,” said Giang.

This initiative is part of the city's long-term plan to introduce its distinctive night-time tourism products.

It is hoped that it will contribute to promoting heritage values, pleasing tourists and encouraging them to extend their stay in the capital city.

A highlight of the new tourism offerings is the “Hanoi Dep Sound” night-time cycling tour. By downloading the provided application and filling in the necessary information, tourists can use public bicycles or electric scooters to explore famous tourist destinations in downtown Hanoi.

At each stop, visitors receive audio commentary available in 15 languages. Each cycling route is designed around specific themes such as culinary exploration, art, heritage and discovering Hanoi’s streets.

Meanwhile, the “Hanoi Food and Tourism Map” serves as a practical tool guiding tourists through Hanoi’s night-time culinary scene via the Shopeefood ordering platform.

Alongside this, the “Cua Nam Ward Tourism Map” provides updated information on tourist attractions within the ward, scenic spots and free Wi-Fi hotspots, enhancing convenience for visitors.

Co-organized by the Hanoi City Department of Tourism and the People’s Committee of Cua Nam Ward, the series of cultural and tourism activities invites the public to immerse themselves in Hanoi’s vibrant night-time culture until December 21.
