A day of sanitation workers: Staying in sewer to keep Hanoi clean

Without sanitation workers, urban green and clean environment would not be achieved. Mr. Cao Van Chinh, a worker of Mechanic Group No.8 - Mechanical Installation and Construction Enterprise- Hanoi Sewerage & Drainage Co.Ltd, is among the employees who do this hard, silent but meaningful job. |
The 54-year-old worker has spent many years soaking in dirty sewage. They have to manually dredge ditches when machines have a breakdown. |

To do this, they had to open the drain cover to put the hose into the sewer line. |

Sanitation workers are responding to the emulation to welcome the XIX Party Congress of Hanoi Sewerage & Drainage Co.Ltd, term of 2020-25. The emulation movement is themed ''Trade Union join hands to promote company’s development, keeping work quality and improving employees’ living standards.” |
