The festival is part of Hanoi Promotion Month 2024, which stimulates consumer demand and supports business sales.
Hosted by the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA), the Hanoi Shopping Festival, the last major event of the Hanoi Promotion Month 2024 (from December 19 to 30), is expected to boost the capital's market with heavy discounts and promotions, help businesses promote their products and investors expand business cooperation.
The festival occurs in more than 1,000 retail outlets and 50 golden promotion points, supermarkets, and shopping centers in the city.
The event, along with the "Hanoi Mega Sale," will involve more than 500 businesses, offering shoppers more than 20,000 discounted products with up to 50% or even 70% off. Consumers can also test-drive VinFast electric vehicles, and experience technology electronics space with Mediamart and many essential products.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Hanoi Promotion Month on December 19, Bui Duy Quang, Deputy Director of the HPA, believed that the month is an effective measure to help businesses overcome challenges, promoting overall retail growth and balancing supply and demand in the city.
"The Hanoi Shopping Festival 2024 is an opportunity for businesses to reach out to consumers, seek long-term business partners, and enhance the competitiveness of their goods and services," Quang said.
He added that the event also contributes to building Hanoi into a modern and attractive shopping center, providing consumers with good deals, including high-quality products at reasonable prices.
Bui Thi Ha Uyen, from the outlying district of Dan Phuong, told The Hanoi Times that this year's Hanoi Promotion Month has many new features, such as a youthful and unique display of shopping spaces. "This helps consumers and tourists have an impressive shopping experience."

Launched in 2009, the Hanoi promotional event has continuously innovated and improved in quality and scale, becoming a reputable trade promotion opportunity, attracting thousands of visitors and transactions every day, the HPA reported.
The largest promotional event in the capital is an opportunity for localities and businesses nationwide to showcase their products, participate in efficient supply chains and consumption in the capital market, and target exports.
It also helps boost consumption of Vietnamese branded products and services; helps businesses promote products and services; connects manufacturers with distribution channels and businesses with consumers through display, introduction, and sales activities, offering promotions of up to 100% through both traditional and e-commerce forms.
With a series of promotions, discounts, and special offers during the shopping festival, Hanoi Promotion Month 2024 continues to stimulate consumer demand, promote Vietnamese products, and support business sales.
During the month, consumers also had the opportunity to make purchases at 50 shopping gold points, including supermarkets and shopping malls such as MediaMart, Winmart, BRGmart, BigC, Nguyen Kim, Pico, Sapo Bakery, and Saigon Co.opmart.
"Since the beginning of the fourth quarter, we have been working with suppliers to prepare goods and interesting promotional programs for consumers with more than 30,000 products, including televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, home appliances, technology products, among others. Numerous products will be discounted from 15 to over 50%. We also use many incentive channels on TikTok and Facebook platforms for customers who do not have the opportunity to experience shopping directly in the supermarket system," Pham Hoang Hanh, Director of MediaMart My Dinh Supermarket, told The Hanoi Times.
