On September 22, the Hanoi Department of Industry & Trade has cooperated with the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) to jointly organize the Conference connecting supply – demand between Hanoi and other provinces in 2017.
Vice Director of Hanoi Department of Industry & Trade Tran Thi Phuong Lan said: the consumption demand of Hanoi’s citizens are very big, especially at the end of the year and on holidays, festivals.
However, Hanoi still have to import goods and products from other provinces. “the Conference connecting supply – demand between Hanoi and other provinces in 2017 is aimed to support provinces and cities to connect with each other, with an aim to consume products and goods, in turn meet the demand of customers and stabilize the market in Hanoi” – Mr. Tran Thi Phuong Lan said.
This year, the conference is held with the participation of 25 provinces/cities in Vietnam, especially with the presence of retailing enterprises in Hanoi. Enterprises have brought to the conference specialties of provinces, such as: special rice noodle (Bac Giang province), natural fruit vinegar (Bac Giang province), Cao Phong orange (Hoa Binh), oil extract (Hue). Vice Director of HPA Nguyen Thi Mai Anh suggested retailing enterprises in Hanoi to pay attention and create favorable conditions to support enterprises, collective farming, producers to consume products through their distribution channels. In the coming time, the Department of Industry & Trade in provinces will closely cooperate with Hanoi in promoting trade and look for sustainable output for products of provinces.
At the Conference connecting supply – demand between Hanoi and other provinces in 2016, in which 400 Hanoi enterprises signed 350 MOU and economic contract to bring products from provinces to Hanoi’s markets. As such, Hanoi has timely supported provinces with difficult in looking for agricultural products’ output, such as lychees in Hai Duong and Bac Giang; onion in Soc trang, longan in Hung Yen and watermelon in Quang Nam.

It is expected that in 2017, Hanoi will consume agricultural products from provinces with value up to 17 trillion VND, at the same time, provinces will consume products from Hanoi with value of more than 6,5 trillion VND.
Since the beginning of the year, Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) has held 3 conferences connecting supply – demand and signed Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) with Da Nang, Lam Dong, Son La. At the Conference connecting the agricultural products consumption and tourism cooperation between Son La – Hanoi, Director of Son La Trade & Industry Department Nguyen Duy Nhuong said, with the support from Hanoi Trade & Industry Department, the 2 provinces has increased cooperation in promoting and advertising safe agricultural products of Son Lan to enterprises and citizens in Hanoi. Through 2 events of Son La goods week in Hanoi in 2016 – 2017, which attracted high attention from customers; high number of agricultural products and fisheries of Son Lan had been consumed.
