According to the organising board announced at the press conference on September 29, the fifth annual “Europe meets Asia in contemporary dance” festival will be held in Hanoi from October 1-4.
The four-day event, co-organised by the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), European embassies in Hanoi, the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNBO) and the Goethe Institute, will take place in the Youth Theatre and Hanoi Opera House.
The event will make a chance for audiences to enjoy contemporary and sophisticated dances from different nations like Germany, Belgium, Israel, Japan, and Poland.
The highlight of the festival will be the show of artists from Berlin-based company Sasha Waltz & Guests, which is well-known in the world for its innovative choreographic musical theatre performances.
Notably, Belgium’s Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation and the VNBO will collaborate to show a dance performance.
Participating the festival, Vietnamese choreographer Tran Ly Ly will represent the host to entertain audiences with a dance play.
