The exhibition displays Hanoi-based artists' work
The exhibition Companion has kicked off in Hanoi, featuring 59 artworks by 35 Hanoi-based artists who are lecturers and students at the Faculty of Theory, History and Art Criticism, Vietnam University of Fine Arts.
It's being held to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the faculty's founding (1978-2023).
Commenting on the title of the exhibition, a representative of the faculty explained that in recent years, generations of faculty teachers and students have been constantly striving in their endeavors to write critical theories. The creative practices have enriched their teaching and research and made them more convincing. It is a companionship between artistic creation and research, a companionship between teachers and students and colleagues.
That's why the exhibition is called Companion.

Among the works exhibited are those of artist-teachers who have been with the faculty since its inception and those of students who have just begun their university careers. This convergence creates a link between the generations of teachers and students of the faculty.
On display are paintings, graphics, sculptures, and prints that reflect the unique concepts and personalities of each author. It's like a convergence of passions.
In addition to the great pride of tradition and camaraderie, the works also show the concerns of generations of teachers and students about society and art criticism. It can be said that the exhibition is a message that conveys the thoughts of artists to the public and is a source of encouragement for the development of the Faculty of Theory, History and Art Criticism.

All of this is reflected in the published research and artistic works of generations of teachers and students.
The exhibition runs until December 18 at the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, 42 Yet Kieu Street, Hanoi.
