Exhibition on domestic violence to be held in Hanoi

Exhibition with the theme of gender equality, domestic violence prevention held by non-governmental organizations in Hanoi will take place from April 1 to April 4, 2014.

On the display are artifacts, photographs, documents selected from different regions where non-government organizations have been carrying out research programs on prevention and intervention of domestic violence.
 
"Real" objects are dislayed at the exhibition
The exhibition is an opportunity for networks suppoting  women to copperate together on the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 /11) with fund granted by Office of the United Nations Women ( UN Women ).
Exhibition gathers hundreds of pictures, objects sent directly by women those are suffering from domestic violence. During the past, they are controlled, abused by her husband's hammer, potty, ropes ,etc.
Nowadays, howevermany women raises their voice to seek support and assistance of the community. They actively participate in self-help groups, art activities for learning and creativity. With inner strength, they have demonstrated that women suffering from violence also has their own beauty and ability to change lives . 
Non-governmental organizations have developed many innovative models with diverse activities in the provinces of Vietnam to mobilize the most powerful participation of these women as well as local government officials in the fight against domestic violence, gender equality.
