Exploring Pu Luong rice season

You should explore Pu Luong from Kho Muong and walk through 4 villages named Pon - Thanh Cong - Cao Hoong - Kit to discover the life, culture and customs of local people.

Speaking of terraced fields, many people think of the mountainous provinces of the North. Not many people know that Pu Luong in Thanh Hoa province is also a great place to enjoy the beauty of the rice paddies in the sun.

Pu Luong is a nature reserve. The place is beautiful all year round, but perhaps, the rice season is still the most worthwhile. Pu Luong welcomes visitors with the cool and pleasant air of the mountains during the fall. And it's great to see a gorgeous picture in front of you.
You should explore Pu Luong from Kho Muong and walk through 4 villages named Pon - Thanh Cong - Cao Hoong - Kit to discover the life, culture and customs of local people. Or follow the trail of Kho Muong - Uoi - Pho Doan to Quan village to experience peaceful, simple and slow life.

From here, you can hire a motorbike to admire the terraced rice field as the watermark carved in the mountain. Many people remain silent before the beauty which is difficult to be described by words. From early morning, when the early rays of the dawn appear, until the sunset in the horizon, it is wonderful to inhale the smell of rice in the middle of the fields. If you come to Pu Luong on a Thursday or Sunday, do not forget to visit the Pho Dau market. Here, you can shop souvenirs and mountainous produce and enjoy many specialties.

If you choose homestay service, the host will offer a meal featuring the mountain’s specialties such as chicken, snails, sour bamboo shoots, bitter bamboo shoots, banana flowers, ducks grilled, wild boar, etc. All dishes are delicious. Many are impressed with the bitter soup which is cooked from bitter leaves in the forest along with the chicken.
The wind blows in, after eating, you fall asleep, reclining on the grass and watching the sky full of stars. Or you can take part in camp fire activities, jumping and watching the Thai dance in the Thai village of Pa Luong. If your trip is long, you can combine it with the discovery of Lac, Cao Hong villages nearby.
