Exports in forestry products increased by 8% in the first two quarters of 2015
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first half of the year, exports in forestry products increased by 8% compared to the same period last year, generating 3.29 billion USD.
The export value of agricultural, aquatic and forestry products is estimated at 14.42 billion USD in the first half of the year, decreasing by 2.8% in the comparison to the same period last year,
The value of agricultural exports declined by 5.7% to 6.93 billion USD, and aquatic products fell in value by 16% to 2.97 billion USD, particularly on the US market.

Rice exports exceeded 3 million tonnes, worth 1.3 billion USD, decreasing by 10.5% in value compared to the same period last year.
Coffee witnessed a significant decline of 35%, exporting 687,000 tonnes and gaining 1.42 billion USD.
Other products, such as tea and rubber, saw a similar trend during the first half of the year.
Meanwhile, pepper, cashew nuts, and cassava exports still recorded double-digit growth in terms of value.
