Famous Hollywood filmmaker wants to promote image of Vietnam

Visual effects supervisor Ming Pan, of the Marvel series and many other blockbusters, plans to make a film about family history and love set in Vietnam, his native country.

Famous Hollywood visual effects (VFX) expert Ming Pan has expressed his desire to work in Vietnam's cinema and television.

This information was shared during the meeting of Ming Pan and the delegation of Mixel Media Company with the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in Hanoi this week.

Ming Pan has extensive experience in visual effects, having held key positions such as art designer, visual effects supervisor and art supervisor for many Hollywood box office hits.

In a meeting of Ming Pan and the delegation of Mixel Media Company with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Department of International Cooperation in Hanoi this week, Ming Pan said he would like to use his advantages in VFX and the most advanced cinematographic techniques to promote Vietnamese culture, people, history and spirit worldwide.

According to Mixel Media Company, co-founded by Ming Pan, with his background from the southern province of Bac Lieu and ability to capture the rapid development of the economy, Ming Pan is looking forward to using his experience and connections to promote the development of the country's film industry.

Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, said the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism highly appreciates Ming Pan's sentiments, aspirations and wishes.

"Vietnam is always open and welcoming to international filmmakers, especially when filmmakers of Vietnamese descent return home to make films about the country," Hoa said.
