Fatherland in the Heart: a song of pride echoing through the capital
My Dinh Stadium was ablaze with red as tens of thousands of spectators, clad in flag-emblazoned shirts and waving yellow-starred banners, transformed the venue into a ‘sea of red’, a powerful symbol of Vietnam national pride.
THE HANOI TIMES — On the evening of August 10, My Dinh National Stadium transformed into a radiant “sea of red” as over 50,000 spectators gathered for the political art program entitled Fatherland in the Heart.
Organized by the Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with the Hanoi People’s Committee, the event marked the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945- 2025).

The program was a heartfelt symphony of patriotism, weaving together music, theater, and history to awaken a deep sense of love for the homeland among the younger generation.
Designed in the shape of the letter V, symbolizing Vietnam and Victory, the stage served as a striking backdrop for evocative cultural imagery, from the Dong Son bronze drum to the sacred lotus flower.
The thoughtful art performance captures the journey of a resilient nation and the dreams of its people moving forward.
Directed by Dang Le Minh Tri, the show brings together celebrated artists across generations, including Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Pham Thu Ha, Tung Duong, Dong Hung, Vo Ha Tram, and Ha Le, and others to breathing new life into time-honored revolutionary songs.
The performance space pulses with energy, often referred to as a “national concert,” resonating especially with the youth who sing, wave flags, and stand proud as inheritors of their country's legacy.
A powerful moment comes with the marching of 68 cadets from the Army Officer School 1 that fresh from representing Vietnam in the July 2025 parade at Red Square in Moscow.
