Eight monorails with 11 cabins each will serve as a transport means among three stations at the park as well as provide sight-seeing tours for up to 2,000 passengers per hour.
Designed by the Intamin Transportation Company from Switzerland, one of the world’s leading suppliers of monorails, the new system uses eco-friendly renewable and clean energy technologies.
The 88-hectare Asia Park, located in downtown Da Nang, was built by the Vietnam-based Sun Group with a total investment of 4 trillion VND (177.9 million USD) for the first phase. It includes a culture park and an amusement park.
The culture park showcases replicas of famous architectural works and typical landscapes from nine Asian countries while the highlight of the amusement park is Sun Wheel, the fourth highest in the world and the highest in Vietnam, which is now a new symbol of the resort city.
