On October 16, Hoan Kiem District People`s Committee held a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement with the district of Lichtenberg (Berlin) - Germany, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Le Hong Son attended and witnessed the signing.
According to the signed content, 2 districts cooperate in the fields of education, tourism, culture, economy, urban development and cooperation between administrative agencies. In particular, promoting the relationship of cooperation between the Alexander - Puschkin high school and Viet Duc high school; establishing cooperative relations between Trung Vuong Secondary School with a school in Lichtenberg district; building relationships between Dong Xuan Market (Hoan Kiem) with Dong Xuan Trade Center in Lichtenberg; exchange of experience in the field of urban planning, static traffic, conservation of monuments, buildings in the old town.
Lichtenberg County has an area of 52km2 and a population of 250,000 people, including 8,000 Vietnamese people are settled. The district currently has more than 20,000 companies, including Dong Xuan Trade Center Vietnam constructed by Vietnamese Overseas in Germany.
