Garbage ... "can say"

Products from garbage such as paper, newspapers, old bottles, plastic bottles, glass or damaged items are disposed of as waste, but we can make them become useful products.

Over the past years, the Hanoi Women's Union has developed a number of models to encourage members to recycle and utilize waste in daily life, contributing to the beauty of the landscape, minimizing environmental pollution, raising community's sense of responsibility.

Vice Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Ba Dinh District, Hoang Viet Nga, said: "Since 2015, the women's unions have carried out many activities, encouraging members to collect used materials, recycle to make them useful products, and also organizes classes for children with the topic "I love the environment". In the classroom, children learn and use recycled materials, recycle them into green plants, and design to make them utensils. Forming habits of saving in living, contributing to changes in behavior, awareness of women, children and the community in environment preservation and protection.

In term of environmental pollution from plastic bags, the Women's Union of Hoan Kiem District instructed its women members to practice "2T", making use of old materials to recycle them into products. This is a paper bag that is used by small traders to keep their bags and use them every day, and to limit the use of plastic bags. Not only the paper products, the women in Hoan Kiem District also collect scraps for money raised funds, extra support for poor women members.

Chairwoman of Chuong Duong Women's Union Pham Hong Hanh said: "Although the implementation has just been in a short time, but the collection of waste to raise funds to support the poor has been effective and ganined a large number of respondents. 

Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Tran Thi Phuong Hoa said: From the very ordinary garbage in daily life, women have created unique and useful items. Either way, the efficiency of recycling models has a common purpose that is environment improvement. This is also a model of studying Uncle Ho on saving and anti-waste of all levels. It is the responsibility of the Women's Union to continue propagandizing and mobilizing women's members to use recycled products, to carry out practical activities, contributing to reducing waste and improving the living environment.
