The special edition of 'Balade en France', Vietnam's largest French culinary festival, will take place in Hanoi from April 5-7.

The fourth edition of the French culinary festival - Balade En France 2024 - will take place in Hanoi with some special highlights, according to the French Embassy in Vietnam.

For the first time, the food festival will be held in a large space of up to 12,000 square meters in Hanoi's iconic  Thong Nhat Park in the Hai Ba Trung district.

It is said to be the largest French cuisine event in Vietnam, which has been organized in Hanoi for the past three years to promote French food and culture among local people.

Now in its fourth year, the event features nearly 60 stalls selling French cheese, wine, butter, bacon, crepes, chocolate, and more. Long-established French restaurants in Hanoi, such as La Table Hanoia, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Saint Honoré Bakery, and others, will showcase their best at the festival.

To welcome the Olympic Games that Paris will host this summer, "Balade en France 2024" also features a "Sports Village" offering a wide range of sports activities, including basketball, golf, badminton, archery and tennis.

As part of the program, there will also be a Break Dance & Hip Hop competition with prestigious local and international judges. The opening ceremony of the festival will take place on Friday, April 5 at 7 pm.

French cuisine and products are widely available in Hanoi and throughout Vietnam. The "Balade en France 2024" initiative aims to promote French culture and cuisine while providing a French-style playground for Hanoi residents.

The event is part of the celebration of the 51st anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Vietnam and the 11th anniversary of the strategic partnership in 2024, organized by the French Embassy in Vietnam, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (France) and the municipal People’s Committee.

Visitors to the festival can share moments of pleasure while tasting quality products from France, such as milk, chocolate, bread, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, and wine.
