Gia Lam celebrates 1010th anniversary of Thang Long and the city Party Congress
In celebration of the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi and the 17th Hanoi Party Congress, towards the 13th National Party Congress, Gia Lam district on October 8 inaugurated the head office of the Party Committee, the People's Council and the People's Committee of Trau Quy town and the opening of Y Lan road.

Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Dao Duc Toan, Head of the Organization Committee of Party Committee Vu Duc Bao, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan and Permanent Vice Chairman of City People's Committee Nguyen Van Suu attended the event.

The project to build the headquarters of the Party Committee, the People's Council and the People's Committee of Trau Quy town was approved with a total investment of over VND37 billion ($1.6 million), according to Gia Lam District People's Committee. It is built on an area of more than 14,000 square meters including a three-storey office building, a culture and sport center combined with two-storey hall with 250 seats, and other auxiliary parts with standard equipment.
Work on the office complex started in October 2019. It has already been finished and put into operation, meeting the demand of public office modernization and providing better service to the populace. Meanwhile, tThe culture and sport center contributes to improve the culture and sport development of the town, meeting the needs of a place to celebrate cultural activities, physical training, and cultural performances of the people in the town.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hanoi Party Committee Deputy Secretary Dao Duc Toan highly appreciated the efforts of Gia Lam District’s authority and people. He stressed that the event is not just an activity to celebrate the 1010th anniversary of the 1010 of Thang Long-Hanoi, and the city’s important events marking the 17th Hanoi Party Congress towards the 13th National Party Congress but also contributes to help the district improve the infrastructure system.
Also on October 8, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee Dao Duc Toan and the members of the Standing Committee of the municipal Party Committee attended the opening ceremony on Y Lan road, the section from Doc Loi to the intersection with Road 181.
This is one of 16 roads of Gia Lam district inaugurated recently. The project has a length of 2,310m and width of 23m with 4 lanes, running from Doc Loi to the intersection with Road 181. The road is equipped with the traffic lines, the drainage, the water supply system, green trees, lighting system, and so on with a total investment of over VND130 billion ($5.6 million). Its construction started in October 2019 and is basically completed and open to traffic. .
Speaking at the ceremony, the Secretary of Gia Lam District Party Committee and Chairman of People's Committee Le Anh Quan emphasized that the opening of Y Lan route has an important meaning as it improves connections in the area, serving better the travel need of people in the district, promoting the local socio-economic development, and step by step building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful urban image for district.
