Government gives the green light to proposal building National exhibition centre

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai on August 24 agreed with a proposal on building the National Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi, covering 300 ha in Co Loa commune, Dong Anh district.

Early this year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism submitted to the government two options to build the National Exhibition and Fair Centre, one in Co Loa commune and the other at the area near the Van Tri fresh water lagoon.

Both sites are located in Dong Anh district.
The location of the centre is expected to meet the requirements of event organisation, traffic and transport of commodities because the area is near the Noi Bai International Airport and other key highways.
The Deputy PM required the ministry to assign the investor of the project, the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre One Member Company Limited, to expeditiously complete the centre’s 3D building design by October 2015.
