The move is expected to boost local-to-local partnerships between Guangxi and Vietnamese localities.
Liu Ning, Party Secretary of Guangxi Province and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China will visit Vietnam on August 26-30 at the invitation of Vietnam's Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son.

During the visit, the Chinese official will hold talks with leaders from various ministries, agencies, and localities to discuss ways to strengthen decentralization between Guangxi and Vietnamese localities.
The discussions will focus on economic cooperation, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
At the press today (August 22), the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said that Ning’s visit will help to bolster ties between Vietnamese localities and Guangxi Province, benefiting the people of both countries and further deepening the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China.
