Ha Nam welcomes Japanese investors

Japanese enterprises to Ha Nam province will enjoy investment incentives and receive the best assistance in infrastructure, security order, and labour recruitment, affirmed Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Mai Tien Dung.

At a working session with a visiting business delegation from Kobe city on November 25, Dung said that his locality now has eight industrial zones (IZs) with the Dong Van III dedicated to Japanese small- and medium-sized support industry enterprises.
There are 64 Japanese firms running business in Ha Nam, five of which are operating in the agricultural sector. The northern province are also using one third of its land to develop hi-tech agriculture, so Japanese businesses can hire land for at least 20 years for agricultural production serving domestic consumption and export.
Additionally, Japanese enterprises can also receive land to build accommodations for their employees or be exempted from land hiring costs for pilot planting in one year, Dung added.

Shiro Marumoto, head of the Japanese delegation, appreciated Ha Nam province’s investment environment, especially its leaders’ support.
According to him, nearly 50 visiting Kobe businesses are mainly operating in electronic device manufacturing, water treatment, plastics, transportation, finance and banking. Some of them showed high determination to invest in the province and hoped to receive local support and assistance to run business there.
