Ha Thanh Club in Poland celebrated 60th anniversary of Hanoi’s liberation
On the afternoon of 11 October, Ha Thanh Club solemnly celebrated the 60th Anniversary of Hanoi’s liberation.
The anniversary welcomed Ambassador Pham Kien Thiet and officials of Vietnam’s Embassy in Poland. There were also officials from Ministry of Home Affairs, the authorities of Warszawa City, Ochota District, some non-governmental organizations, hundreds of Hanoi’s people and Hanoi lovers.
At the anniversary, Ha Thanh Club leaders delivered a speech detailing the important economic and social achievements that the capital of Hanoi has gained during the past 60 years and said to the overseas compatriots that Hanoi was the pride of Vietnamese people all around the world.
The attendees were touched by the valuable documentary films about Hanoi in the past and by listening again to the Independence Declaration read by President Ho Chi Minh on 2nd September 1945. It seemed as if Vietnamese people and guests to the anniversary were taken to the capital with O Quan Chuong, pedicabs, pavement-side tea shops, loads of flower and a cuisine area where vendors wearing aodai and blue shirts offer traditional dishes familiar with Hanoi people. With careful preparation, the celebration event has brought an impressive and unforgettable Hanoi night to Poland and international friends.
