Hanoi accelerates preparations for 132nd IPU Assembly

On December 27, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong chaired a meeting of the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU)`s organisation board to review preparations for the event.

Phong, who is also head of the board, asked agencies to pool all resources for the event slated or March 28-April 1 in Hanoi.

The law maker requested members of the board to finalize specific plans on sightseeing programmes for delegates and hosting cultural and art events.

"It is essential to provide the delegations with updated information to make suitable schedules and ensure safety and security for them during their stay in Hanoi" Phong stressed.
