Breathtaking transformation of Hanoi's leaf-changing season

THE HANOI TIMES — Vietnam's capital dons a dazzling cloak of yellow and red in late spring, creating picturesque vistas at every turn. This magical season ushers in a natural metamorphosis and fills the hearts of locals and visitors alike with awe as the city blossoms with poetic charm.

Every April, as the weather gently warms, the capital city of Vietnam has graced by the stunning transformation of its foliage.

From the bustling streets of Phan Dinh Phung, Hoang Dieu, Thanh Nien, and Tran Hung Dao to the serene corners of West Lake and Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi is alive with the vibrant hues of various trees, including the banyan, sau (Dracontomelon), and sua (Dalbergia Tonkinensis), among others.

The iconic phoenix trees that line Le Thai To Street provide a romantic backdrop, as does the loc vung tree, which casts its spell over Hoan Kiem Lake at this breathtaking time of year.

The streets come alive in a kaleidoscope of colors - yellow, red and green - painting a picture of Hanoi's enchanting scenery.

Both Hanoians and tourists cherish this season of change, finding their own quiet moments to enjoy the city's natural wonders.

These fleeting, photogenic moments last only about two weeks as the leaves fall and the first green buds prepare to emerge.

The leaves of the Indian laurel - first golden yellow, then red - create poetic picture.

As the red banyan leaves shimmer in the sunlight, they provide a striking contrast to the muted hues of Hanoi's ancient streets.

Visitors are surrounded by the gentle spectacle of nature as they stroll through the heart of the city.

International visitors to Hanoi should not miss the chance to see Hanoi at its beautiful time of the year.

Hanoi's houses are decorated with yellow leaves that seem to glow in the soft spring sunlight.
