On the afternoon of July 22, Hanoi People`s Committee Chairman Nguyen The Thao has received Ms. Raisa Vardanya - Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Vietnam.
Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen The Thao welcomed the Republic of Armenia to open embassy in Vietnam, creating conditions to promote cooperation between the two countries in the near future. Reviewing the traditional relationship of the two countries, City Chairman affirmed Vietnam always attaches importance to relations with friendly countries, including Armenia, always remember and be grateful for valuable support of the Armenian people to Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation in the past as well as building and protecting the country at present.
Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen The Thao and the Ambassador agreed Raisa Vardanyan, especially among authorities, the business sector and Hanoi with Armenia to expand economic cooperation, including two-way exports and imports between the two countries. Particularly, Hanoi exports agricultural products and foodstuffs, household goods and imports high technology; materials to support industry, cotton fabric that are the strength of Armenia. At the same time, creating a favorable legal basis for the implementation of business objectives.
Ambassador Raisa Vardanya respectfully received by the city leaders; expressed her pleasure at the strong development of Hanoi and conveyed the invitation of the city mayor of Yerevan - Capital of Armenia Republic of the Hanoi People's Committee President to visit Armenia to strengthen cooperation between the two capitals in the fields of management and urban development, energy, environment, transport, trade, tourism, culture and sports. Ambassador proposed that the two parties shall establish cooperation committee, including two city representatives, and will do our best confirmed to promote the relationship between the two countries as well as the capitals of Armenia and Vietnam, commensurating with good traditional friendship.
