Hanoi and Utah ink the Mou of establishing friendship tie

On Aug 30, Hanoi’s People Committee holds a conference to connect Hanoi and state of Utah (US) as well as memorandum of understanding signing ceremony to mark bilateral tie.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Duc Chung welcome Gary Herbert – Governor of Utah leading the delegation to visit Hanoi. The visit takes place in climate of sound good Vietnam-United State tie. That’s concrete background based on which Hanoi and Utah materialize cooperate potential shared during earlier meeting of bilateral authority.

Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung highly appreciates and shares similarities between Hanoi and Utah’s view on education, family value. Both city and state pay respect to family factor as society’s core and basement for sustainable development; encourage the healthy lifestyle, hardworking spirit, humanity.
On this occasion, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung introduce overview of Hanoi’s development on economic and society aspect. Until now, with synchronous, thriving infrastructure and stable politic, Hanoi become the safety and open investment hub. The municipal authority is trying to improve administrative tool, apply modern technologies to promote “green city” model, then facilitate Hanoi to attract financial sources as well as foreign tourists.
Based on common grounds and cooperation potentials, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung expressed the belief that, Hanoi and Utah possess enough potentials and opportunities on numerous fields. He also hope via the MoU of cooperation friendship tie establishment, all the cooperative contents of Secular education and Cadre education; Technology Transfer; Infrastructure Construct; Information Technology; Pharmacy and high-tech heath care; High-tech agriculture; Energy; Produce; Tourism; Environment Protection would be listed out and soon come to real projects.

Touched by the warm reception of Hanoi authority, Governor Gary Herbert expressed the impression with Hanoi development achievement. He also agrees with Hanoi’s Chairman about open chance for cooperation between Hanoi and Utah.
According to the Governor, state of Utah and city of Hanoi share many common grounds. Described as one the friendliest state in United State, Utah heads to preserve and develop family value, similar to Hanoi and Vietnam. “The basement for a good society is family. Hanoi and Utah are in the right track since those value give background for the sustainable development”, according to Governor Gary Herbert.
In addition, Governor of Utah affirms that Hanoi and Utah both have open business environment, with the aim to facilitate all the enterprises at home and abroad to operate. “Utah expects to become destination for global enterprise. To make that dream come true, Utah must become the link for them, among those, we especially want to expand the cooperation with city of Hanoi, as well as other local in Vietnam”, Governor pressed.
On the same day, Governor of Utah met Secretary of the Hanoi’s Party Committee – Hoang Trung Hai. Both sides express the delight witnessing Vietnam-US relation is in the best condition ever and believe that would be ideal foundation for the upcoming cooperation between Utah and Hanoi.
