Hanoi arts festival 2020 encourages amateur dancers to join

The festival praised the heroic capital Hanoi - the city of peace, bearing the elegant lifestyle of Hanoians and beautiful traditions of Trang An (the old name of Hanoi).

Non-professional dancing troupes from 21 districts in Hanoi took part the Hanoi Amateur Dance Arts Festival 2020 which was held by the Hanoi Cultural Center under the municipal Department of Culture and Sports.

With the theme "Hanoi is sacred and splendid", the festival is an annual activity to guide the development of dancing in the cultural and artistic movement of the capital, fostering and improving the performance, capacity, perception and expression of art works through the dance language.

This is one of many artistic and cultural activities to celebrate the important events of the country and the capital in 2020 including the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the National Patriotic Emulation Congress; and especially towards the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Each dance group performed three repertoires including folk dance, modern dance, contemporary folk dance, among others.

The Hanoi Amateur Dance Arts Festival 2020 run for three nights from December 1 to 3. Through the event, the organizing board wished to contribute to improving the quality of dance arts activities and the capital's mass cultural movement.
