Hosted by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the three-day event, running from November 21to 23, successfully attracted more than 50,000 domestic and international visitors eager to experience the capital during its most enchanting season.

The festival served as a comprehensive showcase of Hanoi's cultural and tourism appeal, bringing together a diverse contingent of participating organizations, including local administrative units, tourism enterprises, airlines, traditional craft villages and master artisans.

Their collaborative efforts transformed the exhibition space into a rich mosaic of autumn-themed experiences, featuring captivating displays, innovative tourism products, and meticulously curated tours.

Throughout the three-day program, the festival unfolded as a significant cultural and commercial platform. Attendees were treated to a diverse itinerary of tourism showcases, culinary explorations, handicrafts and highlights from traditional craft villages.

Key cultural activities included the photo exhibition “Hanoi - Autumn Seen Through the Lens,” featuring hundreds of artistic images capturing the capital’s inherent grace; the “Memory Taste” culinary space, which evoked nostalgia through signature Hanoi autumn dishes; the art program “Autumn Colors of Hanoi,” an expressive showcase of music and performance; and Family-friendly activities such as the “Fall for Hanoi” playground and “Autumn Dreams of My Life” program.

Complementary community engagements, including “Autumn in My Eyes,” “Moments of Hanoi Memories,” “Photo Tour Me, Hanoi,” and the experiential tour “The Hanoi Train,” significantly contributed to promoting the capital’s image to a broad audience.

Nguyen Tien Dat, Vice President of the Hanoi Tourism Association, noted that tourism businesses utilized the platform to introduce signature autumn tourism products unique to the capital. Additionally, dedicated spaces featuring models of the city’s heritage and historical relics were established, providing picturesque settings to capture memorable experiences and underline Hanoi’s deep cultural roots.

Adding to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere, the Hanoi Department of Tourism curated a lively concert program along Tran Nhan Tong walking street.

The performance brought together folk art troupes from various localities, offering visitors an authentic journey through Vietnam’s cultural rhythms. Highlights included traditional lion dances, water puppetry, the spirited gong dance of the Muong ethnic minority and the playful “Con di danh bong” performance - where men dressed in women’s attire dance gracefully with drums. The inclusion of modern youth dance groups created an emotional and vibrant fusion of cultural and contemporary artistry, effectively positioning Hanoi as a destination where heritage and creativity coexist harmoniously.

Tran Trung Hieu, Vice Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism said the festival is among many nationwide celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), and the success of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress.

A donation of US$3,100, raised during the festival, will be given to the victims of recent floods in central Vietnam.

“This celebratory spirit reinforces the tourism sector's commitment to innovation and its determination to further affirm Hanoi’s identity as a civilized, modern and profoundly cultural capital,” he stated.

Operating under the theme “Hanoi Autumn - Autumn of Memories,” the festival successfully guided visitors through a multi-sensory journey, merging the tenderness of the season with the city’s cultural heritage and contemporary dynamism.

The evening concluded on a note of deep humanitarian significance. The Organizing Board and participating partners initiated a fundraising campaign to support communities in the Central and Central Highlands provinces recently affected by floods.

A total of VND81,400,000 or US$3.100 are successfully collected, serving as a powerful expression of shared compassion that enriched this year’s Hanoi Autumn Festival with communal and heartfelt human significance.
