Hanoi begins second phase construction of Da River water pipeline project
The Vinaconex Clean Water JSC held a ground-breaking ceremony of construction on the second phase of the Da River water pipeline project on October 7 in Thach Hoa commune, Thach That district.
The first Da River water pipeline was put into use in 1997.
The project has a total investment capital of 4,922 bilion VND, which will be sourced from bank loans and the own capital of the investor, the Vinaconex Clean Water JSC.
It includes the construction a 21-km pipeline along Thang Long Avenue. The project will be built in 48 months.
When the second phase of project is put into operation, it will add 80,000 cubic metres of clean water per day, raising the total capacity of the first stage to 300,000 cubic metres per day and thus helping ensure stable and continuous water supply when the first pipeline breaks.
According to the approved plan, after the whole phase is completed, the total capacity of the Da River water supply system will be increased to 600,000 cubic metres per day.
