Hanoi commits to creating a favourable environment for all investors

The upcoming "Conference on Cooperation, Investment and Development of Hanoi City 2016", which will take place in Hanoi on June 4, will be a chance for the city’s authorities to reiterate their commitment to creating a transparent and favourable environment for all enterprises.

At a meeting with the press on May 31, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Vu Duy Tuan said that Hanoi People's Committee will organise the conference themed “Hanoi 2016 – Cooperation, Investment and Developmen” at Lotte hotel on June 4.
According to the municipal People's Committee, this year’s conference with the largest scale is to implement the Resolution No.19 of the Government on the tasks and key measures to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness.

The conference is a chance for investors, domestic enterprises, international representatives of embassies, trade counselor offices, representative offices of foreign investors to meet, listen, answer inquiries, and consult effective solutions.
During the event, Hanoi city will introduce its orientations on socio-economic development, investment opportunities to meet development needs in 2016-2020 period, an overview of the investment attraction of the city.
The conference is expected to provide more information for Hanoi to offer appropriate solutions, the best conditions for foreign investors, businesses operating in the city.
The conference is an opportunity to demonstrate the link between Hanoi authorities to investors and businesses.
At least 500 domestic and foreign investors interested in business opportunities in Hanoi will be present at a conference slated for June 4 in the capital city. 
The conference is expected to attract nearly 800 delegates, including senior leaders of the Government, the National Assembly and ministries, as well as about 120 domestic enterprises, international investors, representatives of embassies and trade counselor offices.
Delegates will provide their insights into how Hanoi city can attract and motivate foreign businesses during the event.
At the event, the municipal People’s Committee and businessmen will discuss and devise measures for improving the local investment climate and methods for attracting investments and development cooperation with companies. 
The conference will also serve as a platform for enterprises to seek partnerships, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Vu Duy Tuan said. 
At the event, Hanoi also will present a list of projects calling for attracting domestic and foreign investments with the aims of building a "Green - Civilisation - Modern" city.
During the function, the local administration is to call for enterprises to engage in social welfare programmes in environment, health care, education and culture to raise local living standards. 
Hanoi city will also grant investment registration certificates to major projects while honouring investors who have substantially contributed to the socio-economic growth in Hanoi, Tuan added.
The conference sends the key message that Hanoi will constantly create a transparent and favourable environment for all enterprises doing long-term business in the city.
