On February 3, Hanoi Health Department has sent the telegraph No. 32/SYT-NVY for in non-public and public medical facilities on the strengthening public health to ensure the Lunar New Year in 2016.
All hospitals will work round-the-clock during the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday to provide health care services for those in need, said Nguyen Trong Khoa, Deputy Head of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment under the Health Ministry.
The Ministry instructs all health care institutions across the nation to be well prepared for the examination and treatment of emergency cases.
It is encouraging news that a supply of 40,000 units of blood has been ensured at hospitals across the country. Of which the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion has 10,000 units of blood available for the period, Khoa said.
The Ministry has established six review missions to monitor the health care services over the holiday, as well as present Tet gifts to patients and medical staff.
Reporting improperly and irregularly for cases that are unexpected developed, natural disasters, catastrophes, epidemics, etc. to the Hanoi Health Department.
