The Hanoi Party Committee has decided to set up five inspection teams for preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic, Kinh te & Do thi newspaper quoted Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue as saying at a meeting on March 10.

Accordingly, the heads of the inspection teams include Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dao Duc Toan, and Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ngo Van Quy.
The teams will conduct unexpected inspections to identify good practices and effective models on epidemic prevention and control for being timely analyzed and multiplied widely.
Besides, the inspection missions will rectify and promptly handle collectives and individuals showing negligence and irresponsibility in preventing and controlling Covid-19.
Earlier, the Hanoi Standing Committee has requested the political system from the city to grassroots levels to continue with synchronous and drastic measures to prevent and control the epidemic.
Moreover, the local government asked staff at all levels and the capital city’s residents to join hands in preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic. Heads of local party committees are fully responsible for fighting Covid-19 in their jurisdiction.
Hanoi has so far reported four infection cases, with the first detected on March 6.
