The MoU aims to create a seamless, all-electric public transportation network through key partnerships.

The Hanoi Urban Railway Company (Hanoi Metro) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Xanh SM, VinBus, FGF and V-Green on February 19 to develop a all-electric public transportation model in Hanoi.

The partnership aims to create a seamless "door-to-door" system involving the Hanoi Metro, electric taxis, Xanh SM electric motorcycles, and VinBus electric buses, providing passengers with an emission-free travel experience.
Under the alliance, ticketing for Hanoi Metro and Xanh SM's ride-hailing services will be integrated with VinBus' platform for easy trip planning. Hanoi Metro transfer stations will be served by VinBus green buses and Xanh SM taxis at adjacent pick-up and drop-off points. Stakeholders will jointly develop incentive programs for all-electric multimodal travel. Hanoi Metro will also partner with FGF, a flexible electric vehicle rental brand, to propose EV rental points at metro stations, and with V-Green to plan charging stations, supporting the electrification of the city's transport.
At the signing ceremony, Khuat Viet Hung, Chairman of Hanoi Metro Company, said that the multi-party cooperation between Hanoi Metro and GSM, FGF, V-Green and VinBus will jointly develop a green transportation ecosystem to provide sustainable, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly transportation services.
This collaboration demonstrates the strong commitment of businesses to creating a green transportation future for Hanoi. The transition from fossil fuel-powered private vehicles to green energy-powered public transportation will help reduce CO2 and methane emissions, paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable Hanoi.
