Hanoi honors 1,200 outstanding collectives, teachers and students in the 2010-2015 period
On May 21, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to honor 1,200 outstanding individuals, and collectives in the 2010 2015 period.
In the past five years, there have been over 8,000 city-level good high school students, nearly 700 national excellent students, and 44 students have won international awards.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has implemented solutions in enhancing comprehensive education quality, and training teachers to meet the requirement of programs and new textbooks.
In the 2014 - 2015 academic year, mobilization rate of pre-school children increased over the 2010 - 2011 academic year.
All districts, towns in the city have completed primary education at the level 2, and the number of 6 years-old pupils going to the Primary schools reached the rate of 100 percent annually.
Secondary level focused on innovating programs of general education, moral education, and teaching methods.
According to Nguyen Huu Do, Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the municipal education sector has developed strongly in both scale and quality in the past five years, creating a solid foundation for the comprehensive education-training renewal in the coming years.
At the ceremony, leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi People's Committee has awarded the Merit for the outstanding collectives and individuasl in the 2010 - 2015 period.
In particular, Merit of the Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee was presented to 12 international gifted students, 10 national first prize won students, and 40 outstanding students of schools in 2014 - 2015 year.
