Ensuring a healthy working environment is one of the most important requirements in business, preventing work accidents and occupational diseases.

According to Vu Thu Ha, Deputy Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee, "The action month is aimed at improving occupational safety and health in the city. The municipal government has asked relevant departments and district people's committees to strengthen measures and improve efficiency to minimize work accidents, fires, and explosions," Ha said.

She emphasized that one of the most important requirements for production and business activities is to ensure a healthy working environment, which contributes to maintaining safety at work and to the reduction and prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.

She urged relevant agencies and enterprises in all economic sectors in Hanoi to focus on occupational safety and health in the period of industrialization, modernization, and international integration while calling on them to strengthen communication on the purposes and significance of the Occupational Safety and Health Action Month, which includes special programs and events for enterprises, production and business establishments, and workers to enhance occupational safety and health.

"In addition, the management and inspection of work safety by regulatory authorities must be strengthened, especially in high-risk industries and sectors, small and medium-sized enterprises, and handicraft villages. It is necessary to strictly punish enterprises and individuals who fail to ensure work safety," Ha said.
