Hanoi leads in Red River Delta region in attracting FDI projects in Q1

KTĐT - According to the Foreign Investment Agency, in the first quarter of this year, provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region have drew 5,411 FDI projects with the total registered capital of 65.5 billion USD, accounting for 26% of total registered capital in the country.

Hanoi has led in the region in attracting FDI projects, with 3,116 projects and the total investment capital of 25.5 billion USD, accounting for 58% of projects and 39% of the total capital.
Hai Phong ranked the second with 465 projects, worth about 11.3 billion USD of investment capital, accounting for 9% of total projects and 17% of the total capital.
Processing and manufacturing industry saw the largest foreign investments as it absorbed 33.5 billion USD from 2,559 FDI projects, accounting for 47% of the number of projects and 51% of the total capital.
Real estate trading sector ranked the second with 133 projects valued at 10.7 billion USD, accounting for 16.3% of total investment in the region.
