Hanoi’s Department of Planning and Architecture publicized the detailed planning of a functional residential area expected to become a “garden city” in south of the Capital city. Many experts expected to bring residential medium density, close to nature and alleviate the ills of modern city.
The department said while planning, relevant agencies of Hanoi tried to ensure appropriate land use and the residential area’s connectivity and harmony with surrounding projects, thereby meeting the general development demand in the south of Hanoi.
The functional resident area is formed in line with the Prime Minister’s direction in January 2015 regarding the implementation of a culture, tourism and trade centre project to raise fund for the building of a national exhibition and fair centre.
Urban planning in Hanoi has been assigned to the JSC Center Vietnam Exhibition Fair (VEFAC) set in 2016 and approved in Decision No. 6634 / QD - People's Committee dated on February 12, 2016. Previously, this land is planned on Centre National Expo after relocation at 148 Giang Vo. However, the site is considered inappropriate to propose management bodies moving toward deployment in Co Loa, Dong Anh District.
Under the approved plan, the project is adjacent to the branch office that will be transferred to Me Tri. The project is planned in the urban areas of modern functionality, coupling social infrastructure, technical infrastructure and research areas surrounding the project requirements ensuring sustainable urban development.
