At the meeting, leaders of Hanoi People’s Council, People’s Committee and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai acknowledged the opinion and appreciated the City’s achievement in implementing technical infrastructure and transport projects, launching cultural institutions, and mobilizing people’s participation to guarantee environmental sanitation and urban order.

In the near future, sections of Hanoi Party Committee will increase effort to keep up with the situation at grassroots, and hold dialogues with the people in order to handle complaints and denunciations, he confirmed.

Furthermore, the City shall enhance administrative reform, firstly help people to access information on planning and standardize time for handling administrative procedures, Hoang Trung Hai suggested. More measures should be taken to call for people's participation in the process of administration reform.

In order to ensure food safety, he requested district to clarify the role of wards and urge more drastic measures from them. As the leading districts of Hanoi in the field of information technology, he asked Long Bien to apply computerization in food safety management, and agencies at grassroots level to keep close control over food safety and hygiene.

Hanoi has stipulated regulations on pavement management, especially trading on roadsides and sidewalks. Along with popularization and education, the districts shall increase examination and handle violations, and encourage people to join hands with the governments for urban order, he emphasized.
