Hanoi - Moscow agreed to expand cooperation

On December 19, Standing Vice Chairman of Hanoi People`s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan received Moscow`s delegation to visit and work in Hanoi.

The delegation was led by Mr. Andrey Evgenievich Klychkov - Member of Parliament, leader of the Communist Party Delegation of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on social organizations and regional organizations.

At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman Tuan expressed his pleasure at Vietnam - the Russian Federation relationship, as well as Hanoi - Moscow ties that are being more and more strengthened. The last time the two sides have actively implemented the cultural exchange activities, typically cultural events was Moscow Days in Hanoi, Hanoi Days in Moscow.

Russia has built the Hanoi Collaborating Centre, and in the province capital it also spends a 3ha of land to build a house around Moscow, the symbol of cooperation in relation to the fine tradition of Hanoi - Moscow.


Moscow Day is expected to take place in Hanoi on 2017 as proposed by Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tuan. He highlighted the sound friendship between the two cities and suggested strengthening bilateral cooperation for mutual benefit and development.

The Russian official said Hanoi and Moscow share a lot of similarities, which will be a foundation for the two sides to expand collaboration and good relationship. He affirmed to submit Hanoi’s proposal to Russian authoried agencies to map out specific plans for the organisation of “Moscow Day” in the Vietnamese capital city.

However, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan emphasized, the cooperation is still modest, comparing to the bilateral potential, and expressed his desire that Mr. Klychkov Andrey Evgenievich, on his position, will connect and create conditions to expand cooperation of the two sides.

Agreeing with opinion of the Standing Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Council, Mr. Andrey Evgenievich Klychkov desired that the Moscow project will soon be started and completed. He also said that Russia will continue to actively cooperate in the fields of economy, technology, and create conditions for Vietnam enterprises to invest in the Russian market.
