Hanoi named World’s Best Golf City Destination 2023

For the first time, the capital city of Vietnam has won the World's Best Golf City Destination 2023 Award.

Hanoi received the title of World's Best Golf City Destination 2023, surpassing Paris, New York, and many other famous cities for golf tourism at the 10th World Golf Awards ceremony took place on October 23 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Earlier, a special voting was opened on the website worldgolfawards.com to choose the best golf destination, where Hanoi received positive reviews from golf experts, media units, golf tour companies, golf course owners, hotels, and golf associations from countries around the world.

According to a representative of the Hanoi Tourism Department, the award is the pride of Hanoi and a testament to the efforts of the capital's tourism industry.

Located in the northern part of Vietnam, Hanoi is an ideal geographical location for golf tourism. The city's beautiful scenery and rich cuisine attract a large number of golfers from South Korea, Japan, America, and Europe.

The capital has all the factors to develop golf tourism, with standard golf courses such as Long Bien, Van Tri Golf Club, Kings Island Golf, Minh Tri, Legend Hill, and about 10 training golf courses, in addition to supporting systems and accommodation facilities, which are quite diverse and professional, especially 4-5 star hotels of the kind of JW Marriott, Sheraton, Sofitel Legend Metropole.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Tourism Association, Vietnam received 1.8 million international tourists in the first two months of 2023, including 800,000 golf tourists. The country was selected by the World Golf Award as the best golf destination in the world and Asia in 2019, 2021 and 2022. The Vietnam Golf Tourism Association was selected by the World Golf Award as the best golf tourism association in 2022.
