Hanoi offers attractive cultural programs for tourists during Tet
Hanoi is making efforts to diversify its tourism offerings to attract more tourists to the capital for the 2024 Tet holiday.
A series of cultural events will be held in Hanoi's Old Quarter during the week-long Lunar New Year holiday to recreate the traditional Tet atmosphere of the Red River Delta area, according to Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department.

Specifically, the painting exhibition entitled "Drawing the Dragons" will be on display at the Temple of Literature until February 20 and at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi until February 25; the "Tet Street 2024" program at Phung Hung Mural Street will continue until February 9, with booths showcasing Hanoi's OCOP and traditional products.
Till February 28, Cultural spaces in Hanoi's Old Quarter will be filled with traditional Tet activities. At Heritage House, 87 Ma May Street, the living space and Tet celebration of an old Hanoi family will be re-enacted; The program "Vietnamese Tet - Old Quarter Tet 2024" is taking place at Kim Ngan Temple, 42-44 Hang Bac with the rituals of “Kitchen God” farewell and traditional New Year’s Eve worshipping as well as performing and introducing the art of playing Daffodils of Hanoians, among others.

The Hanoi Old Quarter Culture Exchange Center at 50 Dao Duy Tu Street will host a traditional Tet space from Vietnam's northern delta with dragon-themed paintings, ceramics and traditional music performed by the Ancient Music Group of Tonkin.
Meanwhile, the Culture and Arts Center at 22 Hang Buom Street will feature Bat Trang dragon-themed ceramics and a demonstration of Vietnamese calligraphy.
In addition, an exchange between flower artisans from Nhat Tan Flower Village (Hanoi) and Ngoc Lang Flower Village (Phu Yen Province) with the theme "Spring Colors Convergence" will be held at the Old Quarter Heritage Information Center, 28 Hang Buom.
Dong Lac Temple at 38 Hang Dao will showcase Hanoi's traditional culture with the theme "Tea - Tet Street & Daffodils."

In particular, for the first time ever, a drone performance will be held before the fireworks on February 9, or Lunar New Year's Eve, from approximately 23:00 to 23:30 at the Van Cao T-junction in West Lake, Hanoi.
Themed "A Capital's Remarkable Day - Thousand Years of History", the 11-episode drone performance, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia, will feature 2,024 drones telling stories about Hanoi through a combination of light and music.
According to Dang Huong Giang, Director of the city's Department of Tourism, Hanoi is planning to hold more tourism-related programs on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, including the "Hanoi Welcome 2024 Tourism Program" at Trinh Cong Son Walking Street, the "2024 Friendship Spring Tour Program" in Soc Son District, and the "Hanoi Tourism Festival" at Thong Nhat Park.
"In addition, the city is also ready to host annual major festivals such as Huong Pagoda Festival, Soc Temple Festival, Co Loa Traditional Festival, Dong Da Festival, Tan Vien Mount Festival; among others," she added.
