Hanoi offers favorite food, drinks to int'l reporters at Trump-Kim summit
International reporters will have lots of options which are specialties of Hanoi.
International reporters will be served a series of Hanoi’s specialties on the occasion of the Trump-Kim summit, which is slated for February 27-28.
Domestic and global reporters can get delicious food and drinks for free before and during the event, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said at a Monday press conference.
The city has ordered famous restaurants and coffee shops which specialize in local traditional food and long-lasting drinks to provide the reporters with the best dishes, he said.
International reporters will have lots of options namely phở (fresh noodle with fresh chicken or beef), bún chả (fresh noodle with grilled meat and sweet-sour-hot sauce), nem (fried spring roll), bún thang (fresh noodle with chicken, julienned egg, pork, and Ocimum basilicum), and cà phê trứng (egg coffee, a Hanoi specialty in which a creamy soft, meringue-like egg white foam is perched on dense Vietnamese coffee).
According to the Vietnam Television (VTV), foreign reporters will also be given gifts and free tours to famous attractions like UNESCO-recognized natural heritage Ha Long Bay and Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys.
To facilitate the reporters, four double-deckers will be available at the International Media Center and places that they want to go for covering news.
