Hanoi Police demonstrate crime suppression tactics on the streets

Thrilling martial arts and crime suppression performances by the capital’s security forces captivated both locals and tourists visiting Hanoi over the last weekend.

THE HANOI TIMES — The Festival For A Peaceful Capital, celebrating the dedication and service of Hanoi police, is among a series of events are being held in downtown Hanoi, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Police Force (August 19, 1945 - 2025).

The event, held on August 10 at the  King Ly Thai To    Monument and along Dinh Tien Hoang Walking Street in Hoan Kiem Ward featured the participation of 3,000 officers and soldiers from the capital's police force.

The city's brave female officers impress the audience not only with their courage and capability...

One segment of the event features a simulated public disturbance, where dangerous individuals staged illegal street races.

In response, the police force quickly take action to suppress the situation and restore order.

In another simulation, a female traffic officer performe a dynamic arrest scenario.

One standout moment is when the female officer skillfully subdues two suspects at once.

Modern fire trucks and rescue vehicles were also showcased, underscoring the modernization of emergency response systems.
