According to Vu Hong Khanh, Permanet Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee, in the first 6 months of the year, the municipal economic growth reached the highest rate in the past four years.
During half of 2015, Hanoi's gross domestic product was estimated to increase by 7.8%. The sustained growth of all sectors were higher than the same period of 2014.
In particular, Hanoi's industry sector rose by 6.7%, higher than the same period in 2014 at the level of 6.4%. The real estate market made positive changes. The construction industry reached the highest growth rate in the past four years, estimated to grow by 10.5% in the half of 2015, and service sector increased by 8.3%.
During the first 6 months of 2015, the tourism industry was estimated to increase by 6.4% over the same period last year, the number of foreign tourists increased by 8.8% compared with the same period of 2014.
The municipal agricultural production rose by 2.8%, higher than the same period of 2014. The program of building new rural areas has been actively implemented. Up to now, Hanoi has had 109 communes recognized as the new rural area.
The total of Hanoi's state budget revenues was estimated about 72,436 billion VND, up 13.3% over the same period last year.
In the past 6 months, the total capital of foreign investment was estimated to reach over 500 million USD, equivalent to 86% over the same period.
The number of new-registered businesses increased by 22% compared to the same period in 2014.
In order to implement successfully the socio-economic developmet in 2015, Hanoi People's Committee suggested 7 solutions to solve existing problems and promote the socio-economic development, including: Hanoi will improve investment environment. Removing difficulties for production and business activities and striving to achieve a great increase in the last 6 months of 10-11% per year. Accelerating the planning and mobilization of resources for development investment, and ensuring the completion of the target revenue and expenditure budgets. Strengthening management of construction order, urban, land and environmental resources. Focusing on the cultural development and social security guarantees. Continuing to build, strengthen and maintain the stability of political security, social order and safety, local defense, and improve the efficiency of foreign affairs. Stepping up administrative reform, preventing and combating corruption. Promoting the information dissemination and the patriotic emulation movement.
