Hanoi sets plan for Work Safety and Sanitation Action Month 2018

The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued Plan No. 86/KH-UBND on launching ceremony of Action Month on Work Safety and Sanitation 2018 in Hanoi, focusing on preventing, controlling dangerous, harmful factors in workplaces and minimizing occupational accidents and diseases.

The plan has following objects:
Increase awareness and sense of responsibility of the enterprises, employers and employees, focusing on complying with law on work safety and sanitation, implementing Law on Work Safety and Sanitation as well as documents guiding implementation of the law; encourage enterprises, production and trade facilities to launch action programs to improve working conditions, health care for the employees and build safety culture in work places; proactively prevent and reduce work environment pollution as well as occupational diseases, thus contributing to the stability and sustainable development in production and trade;
Organize practical and efficient activities, aiming at enterprises, production and trade facilties and employees in the fields with/ or without labor relations; draw attention and call for participation of authorities at all levels, sectors, unions, organizations, enterprises and employees in Hanoi.
As the standing agency, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs proactively coordinates with member agencies of the Organizing Committee and Gia Lam District People’s Committee to select venue for the launching ceremony in response to the Action Month on Work Safety and Sanitation 2018.
Press and radio agencies of Hanroi proactively prepare programs, articles and reportages to popularize the Action Month, and contribute to improve awareness and action of enterprises as well as people for work safety and sanitation in the city.
The Gia Lam District People’s Committee collaborates with Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and member agencies of the Organizing Board to hold the launching ceremony. It also cooperates with authorities to ensure safety, security and order as well as sanitation in the area around the venue, maintain traffic safety and order, and arrange parking area for officers and employees attending the ceremony.
