Hanoi sets project on developing key industrial products in 2018
The Hanoi People’s Committee granted Plan No. 103/KH-UBND on May 3 on deploying the project on developing major industrial products of Hanoi in 2018.
Under the Plan, the city will make, issue regulations on progresses, procedures of considering and selecting major industrial products; choose and recognize about 30 key products at municipal level; support enterprises having key industrial products via programs on industrial promotion, application of cleaner technologies in industrial production and energy saving and efficient use; propose measures, mechanisms and policies to support the enterprises by 2020 with an orientation to 2025.
It is vital to give priority to invest in large-scale projects or those using modern and environmentally friendly technologies; attract foreign direct investment (FDI) in mechanical manufacturing industry, electronics – information technology (IT) sector; give assistance to supporting industry projects applying high technologies and products meeting international standards to ensure competitiveness.
More efforts should be made to create favorable conditions and shorten settlement time of the enterprises during the implementation of administrative procedures related to business registration and project investment as stipulated by law; research and build a risk management system of business operation so as to provide full information of business establishment and operation; speed up the progress of construction investment and attract more projects on building industrial zones and clusters, IT parks as planned.
Besides, the capital city will focus on making a roadmap of renewing machines, equipments and technologies to meet requirements of business development and integration; research and collect documents of national and international standards for key industrial products and support enterprises access and improve their production; strengthening communication and encouraging enterprises to take part in evaluating, choosing major industrial products at municipal level; recognize and introduce enterprises having key industrial products as well as improve their abilities to expand trade cooperation.
The Department of Industry and Trade will take prime responsibility and coordinate with relevant departments, sectors to make and submit progresses and procedures of considering and recognizing major industrial projects to the Municipal People’s Committee for issuance; monitor, urge and inspect departments, sectors and relevant agencies to perform assigned missions and give reports before December 15, 2018.
