Hanoi supports Korean Enterprise Association in Vietnam to build its headquarters
On March 14, Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung hosted reception for the President of Korean Enterprise Association in Vietnam (Korcham), Mr. Ryu Hang Ha.

Speaking at the meeting, Korcham President, Mr. Ryu Hang Ha said that there are about 5,700 Korean enterprises operating in Vietnam with the total capital of 50 billion USD, of which 1,130 enterprises in the Capital of Hanoi. As a representative of the Korean business community in Vietnam, Korcham has become a consultant, connecting South Korean companies with the Vietnamese Government as well as contributing to promote these businesses operating in the City.
Recording information from President Korcham, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee also highly appreciated the activities of this agency in Hanoi as a representative role for all Korean businesses investing in Vietnam. At the same time, the agency also contributed to promoting the Korean business community to participate in welfare activities in the capital, the medium of conveying ideas of Korean enterprises with the City People's Committee.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee made three proposals to Korcham. First, supporting the Korean Ambassador in Vietnam to register for the Cultural Exchange (scheduled for April 8-9) in the area of Ly Thai To monument, Hanoi. Second, holding an investment promotion conference between Hanoi and Korea. Third, coordinating with relevant agencies to organize cultural exchanges to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-South Korea diplomatic relations.
Thanks to the support of the city's leaders, President Korcham affirmed the recognition and will quickly implement seriously and effectively proposals by Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee. Ryu Hang Ha said that the number of Korean businesses in Vietnam will continue to increase in the coming time. At present, the relationship between the two countries is complementary to each other, towards the common interests and the development of sustainable relations.
