Hanoi to build more flower gardens and playgrounds

Hanoi People`s Committee has approved the proposal of the municipal Department of Planning and Architecture in choosing sites to construct playgrounds, flower gardens in 118 wards, communes and towns in the city with the total area of ​​59 hectare.

To ensure needs in the quality and quantity of playgrounds and gardens for local residents, especially for children, the municipal Department of Planning and Architecture have petitioned the city leaders to approve the plans for construction sites of playgrounds, gardens in 118 wards, communes and towns, with the total area of ​​59 hectare.

People's Committees of districts, towns will be responsible for organising the elaboration and approving the detailed plans.
The municipal Department of Planning and Investment is assigned to chair and coordinate with the city's Department of Finance to review and propose reports to the People's Committee in the first quarter of 2016.
At present, the city has about 200 flower gardens and public playgrounds.
