Hanoi to build the largest Lotus-shaped theatre

With capacity of over 2000 seats, the 5-floating-lotus shaped theatre will be located at Cau Giay District, Hanoi.The project is due to finish by 2018.

At the Hoan Kiem district’s resident meeting, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said, there will be new entertainment sites to attract travelers, one of which is Lotus opera house in CV1 Park at Cau Giay District. According to him, despite of the capacity, surrounding zone of the opera house can be open for approximately 25.000 people per day.
Under Hanoi Planning and Architecture Department, the opera house is built by socialization capital and would become the biggest and most modern opera house ever in Hanoi. With the area of 4 hectares, the 54 meter house has six floors, designed in the shape of floating lotus, including offices, ice skate ring, entertainment zone…
Construction of the CV1 Park has started since 2017 with total area of nearly 32 hectares, at the crossroad of Duong Dinh Nghe Road and Pham Hung Road. Along with the Lotus house, Hanoi authority will spend a 24hectare-land to build Opera house and entertainment zone in Dam Tri (West Lake). The project is expected to be launched during this year.
Besides, Chung said, Hanoi authority is dealing with foreign cooperation to bring some international-scale sport cup to attract foreign visitors. During the last months of 2017, some projects are on the way: Soc son – Hanoi multifunctional entertainment zone ($420m), Vietnam horse race club ($200m), Hanoi international horse race course ($393m) and Hanoi Chamrvit horse race course ($360m)
