Hanoi to focus on policy beneficiaries in Tet Holiday

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has just granted Official Letter No. 215 on preparing for Tet Holiday of 2018 to provinces and cities under the central government.

To prepare a happy, safe and economical Tet for local people, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs asked People’s Committees of provinces and cities under the central government to direct Departments of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and relevant agencies to implement following tasks:

Reviewing and monitoring policy beneficiaries’ living standards to give them assistances; visiting and presenting gifts to all beneficiaries before Tet.
Strengthening prostitution prevention and drug detoxification and organizing a happy, safe and economical Tet for addicts in detoxification facilities; making plans on ensuring security and order in facilities.
Monitoring salaries and bonuses of employees in enterprises, industrial parks and export processing zones to prevent labour disputes.
Making sure that all children have a happy and healthy Tet; visiting and presenting gifts to children in difficult circumstances, those in policy beneficiary families and remote areas; organizing numerous healthy and safe entertainment activities for children, especially folk games; enhancing child protection and prevention of child abuse and violence; ensuring food safety for children.
Asking agencies, organizations, producing and trading facilities to enhance inspection and implement a series of measures to ensure labour safety before, during and after Tet and handling accidents (if any) as soon as possible; tightening the management of machines, equipments and supplies; reviewing and checking areas with high risk of labor accidents, such as construction works, roads, suspension cables, etc so as to ensure maximum safety for laborers and people.
