Hanoi to honor entrepreneurs and enterprises

On October 11, the Hanoi Business Association has held the Gala Thang Long Entrepreneurs 2017 to mark the anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs day on October 13. Attending the event were Vice Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang and the Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.

Speaking at the Gala, the Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung congratulated Hanoi’s entrepreneurs on the occasion of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs day. At the same time, Mr. Chung emphasized the contribution of entrepreneurs and enterprises in the development of Hanoi. Many important events of the capital have received supports from enterprises and entrepreneurs, including: repairing and constructing 8,000 houses; planting trees; providing clean water, and others.

“These are meaningful activities, which show the contribution and responsibility of the Hanoi business community to the capital. On behalf of Hanoi, I acknowledge and commend the contributions of entrepreneurs in the socio-economic development of Hanoi, as well as responsibilities to the society” – Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung stressed.

The Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee said, in order to support enterprises to develop quickly and sustainably, the capital is committed to push forward with administrative reform, improve the quality of public service online, with an aim to serve enterprises in a timely manner efficiently. At the same time, it is aimed to increase the contribution rate of private enterprises to Hanoi’s economic development. It is expected that by 2020, this sector will contribute from 58-60% GDP of Hanoi.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung said: “Hanoi highly regards entrepreneurs and enterprises, we call for the business community of Hanoi to realize its potential and strength to support each other for the growth of the business community in particular, and of Hanoi in general”.

On this event, the Hanoi People’s Committee has awarded the merit certificates for Hanoi Business Association; the Ministry of Industry & Trade awarded the merit certificates for Hanoi Business Association and 2 others association; the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) awarded the merit certificates for 4 organizations and 3 individuals.
