Hanoi to launch Action Month themed “Early HIV test towards the 90–90–90 targets in 2020”

The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued Plan No. 232/KH-UBND on organizing Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control 2017 themed “Early HIV test towards the 90–90–90 targets in 2020”.



 
The Capital City will organize conferences to share experiences and effective models, such as model of HIV/AIDS test in the community taken by health workers and community workers, model of HIV/AIDS care and treatment and anti-discrimination, model to help people infected with HIV in HIV/AIDS prevention and control, and support each other. 

There will be communications activities during the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, along with launching of the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control.

Meetings at grassroots will be organized, such as weekend or Day of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control (December 1). Along with meetings, there will be roadshows, exhibitions, music, play, mobile communications and events to raise fund for people infected with HIV.



 

Leaders of agencies at all levels will take part in meetings, seminars and events, offer presentation, assess and specify responsibilities of organizations and individuals in HIV/AIDS prevention and control. 

They also encourage organizations and establishments to take care of HIV-positive people, HIV/AIDS prevention and control clubs, families of the people infected with HIV, thus helping them integrate into the community.

The Steering Committees for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, Drug and Prostitution Prevention and Control of agencies and sectors, districts and towns will assign tasks to their members, give instructions, supervise the implementation and allocate funds for the meetings and popularization.
